T-Shirt Design: Laura Slater
May 14th, 2011 by DavidWe love our midwife. We’re having an appreciation event for her in several weeks, and in preparation for that I wanted to come up with a cool t-shirt design showing her some love.
Of course I wanted something that was cool, and not overly symbolic of birthing/midwifery… but something that could directly relate to Laura. So, what did I come up with.. a teepee of all things. Yes, you may not know this… but Laura once lived in a teepee. So, it works out being a bit of an inside joke, but also is symbolic of traditions and american spirit.
Planning to get the screen burned soon, so we can get to work. Just have to find time and motivation.
I like it! Will we get to wear them to the party?
Hey Nancy.. thanks! I’m really hoping to get the design finalized and burned onto a screen this week so that I can print them in time and am not rushing (like my first experience). We’ll see, can’t say for sure yet, but certainly am going to try.
